It all began in 1968 when the Business
Administration Society in University of
Singapore hosted a visit by Kunio Miki,
Asian Regional Committee President of AIESEC,
who came on a selling mission in Singapore
and Malaysian for the Association. With
the help of Miki, a group of members from
the Society and other counterparts from
the University of Malaya spearheaded the
formation of AIESEC. Mr G. G. Thomson
(AIESEC Singapore's Godfather) also arranged
a series of contacts with the business sector
to promote AIESEC.
